What is a Green Mansion?

The inspiration for Green Mansion Foundation’s name and mission comes from the novel Green Mansions. Green Mansions is set in the jungle and involves the intersection of two cultures, modern man and natural man. According to Jean-Jacques Rousseau, someone raised away from corrupting civilization would be naturally pure of heart and attuned to their environment, a natural man. Natural man’s home, the pristine forest, is considered a natural and sacred cathedral, in other words, a green mansion. Green Mansions Foundation is, therefore, dedicated to the notion of simple sustainable living.

    i grew up hunting and fishing with my dog and friends i was raised never take more than u need . never waste now im a carpenter –broken by the corruption in america— the destruction of are land —this is what feeds us yet we allow corp. america to destroy it. please help me learn howe to live green –and were i can go to be as one with the land and people of like minded and then when im stable with a roof over my head ill fight and learn to build green defend green be able to salmon out of are lakes and rivers with out pcb almost 50 and tired of the rat race i bought into
